Marion's baptism

Marion, my little sister, got baptized over Columbus day weekend so I went home and got to hang with the fam for a couple of days.

Mormons get baptized when we're 8 since we believe all children are saved and after 8 kids are able to think and make choices on their own.

Anyway, Marion got baptized so I went home and hung. Mom just got a new tv...oooooo... and we all just uh hung out. Grandma and Granddaddy were down from Hereford and it was good to see them. We made chocolate chip and peanut butter/hershey kiss cookies (that's two kinds of cookies) and had fun being around each other.  We went out to dinner and talked.

Marion was super cute the day of her baptism and got ready before dad! Take that all you men who think women take a long time to get dressed. Hahaha!

Some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

The Orchard

Our cool friends the Fronces invited Andrew and I and another couple at church to visit Stribling Orchard a couple weekends ago. We had so much fun. It was about an hour and a half away on Hwy 66 and a beautiful drive.
We got to the orchard to pick applea mid morning and got our apple pickers aka our basket lacrosse sticks with a longer pole and went to work.
7 kinds of apples were in season at the orchard and marked by different colored paint on the trunks of the trees. We picked to our hearts desire and had a blast chatting it up with everyone. The orchard alao boasts a small shop where we bought some pumpkin butter and a piece of apple pie.
For lunch we went to a nearby diner and ate some apple pulled pork and coleslaw. Delicious. Good times with some good people. We really enjoyed ourselves. I'll post some pictures too :)
