Big Beach and Sunset Cruise

So, the famous Maui "Big Beach" has big waves.  That's probably why they call it "Big Beach."  Makes sense...although it would follow that the neighboring "little beach" would have little waves... but it is in fact a nude beach.  Maybe it's called little beach because there is little clothing?  It's a question to ponder...

Andrew decided to take a break from the waves for a little bit so I gave him a little French mustache and soul patch.  You know it's French because his hands are up in "Surrender" mode.  Hahaha. Just kidding.  I actually just couldn't find any bigger shells to help complete the look.  I still like it though.

After the Big Beach we went home and changed and then headed to the sunset dinner cruise run by the Pacific Whale Foundation with Andrew's brother Wayne, his wife Kailee and their daughter Sophia.  Super tender little girl.  The first couple pictures is us on the dock right before boarding the little yacht.  Interestingly, did you know that the only boat to have hit a whale while whale watching was a boat run by the Pacific Whale Foundation?? Ironic, no?

Kailee, Wayne, and Sophia getting settled in at our table.  Our dinner started off with this bread and spinach dip.  We were spooning the dip out of the bowl after we ran out of bread. It was good. It was very good.

There we go.  (For those of you that don't get the reference-picture the puffer fish from Finding Nemo.  If you still don't get it, repent, go rent the movie, then think of the puffer fish from Finding Nemo...you can also just go see it in 3D soon--whatever is easier for you.)

Sophia was a very good baby and hung out pretty well.  She did really good for being out in the open in the sun and on a boat. A+ for being an easy kid.

Here are some shots of Maui from the boat and of the gorgeous sunset.  We were serenaded by a decent singer/guitar player and served some delicious steak and chicken.  Good times.

Overall, it was a great night and a wonderful opportunity for Wayne, Kai, Andrew and I to talk and catch up.  Nice night.
